Insect Art

 Morena Bloggers,

Today I was doing my summer learning activity and I did my Insect art. I thought it was easy but it was harder than I thought it was. I only used leaves and sticks because I didn't have much equipment. here is the picture:

What insect do you think this is?

  1. Hello Tiffany, I'm Amelia from Yaldhurst Model School.

I liked the way you told us what you used to make your picture. It looks really cool because you arranged the leaves in a particular way.

This reminds me of when I made mine. I think your picture looks like a butterfly.

To improve, you could probably say goodbye or just write more in general so that readers can have a better understanding.

Why did you decide to do this activity?

Cya later Tiffany, keep it up!

  2. Kia ora Tiffany,

Your butterfly looks incredible! I really like how you’ve made it and that you even thought to include things like antennas and different sized wings. Ka pai! Were the leaves and sticks hard to find?

I love butterflies, they’re my favourite insect. I live in Dunedin and we have a butterfly exhibit at the museum here. It’s in a super warm room and there’s a waterfall through the middle. The butterflies all flutter round freely, and eat from all the flowers growing in there. It’s amazing. I once even had a butterfly land on me! What’s your favourite insect?

What are you going to name your creation? If you had more materials, what other insects could you make from nature?

    Keep up the great work!

    Ka kite anō,
    Shannon (SLJ)

    1. Hi Shannon,

Thanks for the nice comment. The leaves were a little bit hard to find but the sticks were really easy. my favourite insect is also a butterfly. If I had more materials then I would improve my insect.
